Engineering That Eliminates Compromise

The CBQ Series was built for power architects who need maximum output in minimum space — without sacrificing reliability. Six-sided metal enclosure, patented topology, and a multi-layer single-sided PCB combine to deliver telecom-grade performance in a standard quarter brick footprint.

Patented Buck Reset Topology
Proprietary switching architecture reduces losses at every load point — not just peak. The result is consistently high efficiency from 10% to 100% load, which directly reduces thermal stress and extends component life.
Six-Sided Metal Enclosure
Full 1.0 mm aluminum alloy (anodized) shroud provides EMI shielding, mechanical protection, and a low-impedance thermal path. No chassis cut-out or external heatsink required for most operating conditions.
Synchronous Rectification
SR stage at the output replaces diode conduction loss with a low-resistance MOSFET switch. Combined with Buck Reset, this directly contributes 1–2% efficiency gain versus conventional isolated converter architectures.
Triple Protection (OCP/OVP/OTP)
Over-current (108–125%), over-voltage (115–130%), and over-temperature (110°C Tc) protection operate simultaneously. No trade-off between responsiveness and false triggering.
Remote On/Off Control
PC pin supports both positive and negative logic. Logic High (3.0–6.5V) enables; Logic Low (0–1.0V) shuts down. Enables clean power sequencing in multi-rail designs without external sequencer ICs.
4.57M Hours MTBF
Bellcore TR-332 Issue 6 verified at GB/25°C. Multi-layer single-sided PCB reduces solder joint count — addressing the two leading causes of DC/DC converter field failures at the design level.
